The Sad Truth About Life

Have you ever thought about death? Yeah, it's not the most fun topic to think about. Believe it or not, thinking about death can actually help us live our lives better.

Crazy, right?

Well, stick with me and I'll show you how embracing our mortality can lead to a more fulfilling existence. Let's get started!

Life can be hard sometimes. There is a sad truth that people don't really like to talk about. I'll just say it - one day, you and everyone you know will die.

Gone.. Poof...

It's a difficult thing to accept, but thinking about our own deaths is actually very important. Our deaths are probably the only things we can be certain of in this life.

Everything else is uncertain.

If we only care about unimportant things like getting rich, being famous on Instagram, or looking attractive, we are missing the whole point. Those superficial things don't really matter in the end.

When we avoid thinking about death, we get too worried about little dumb problems that won't mean anything in the long run.

As one wise writer said :

Death reminds us to stop worrying about the small stuff. It helps us figure out what's actually important in this short life we get. Because in the end, the wise people all agree on one thing -

True happiness comes from caring about something greater than ourselves "

Whether it's a person, having a family, serving your country, or just trying to make the world a little bit better - that feeling of being part of something bigger is what it's all about.

That brief feeling of connecting to the universe is what we're all searching for. And when we face the reality of death, we have to ask ourselves - What will we leave behind when we're gone? What's our legacy?

Because just by living, experiencing all this, and choosing what to care about against all odds, you're already truly remarkable.

It's not about getting rich or successful.

Just existing at all, being alive here is the real amazing thing. Your life, no matter how small, has an impact through time in tiny amazing ways we'll never understand. So take a moment to be thankful for the miracle of being here at all.

Then go out and live in a way that honors that - by being part of something greater than yourself. That's what life is all about. Makes you appreciate every little moment, doesn't it?

You've gotta see this amazing video that totally inspired the blog post I'm writing. Trust me, it's only 5 minutes long, but it's definitely worth a watch!
